Ive always loved art, Lee Freed says. After a career in real estate, I decided it was time to pursue my other great passion. I had dreamed of living on the Oregon Coast for many years. I traded in the stress of managing a large office in the northern suburbs of Chicago for the incredible beauty of the central Oregon Coast. It has here that I decided to open an art gallery where artists could flourish. |

When you spend your life caring for wild animals, you begin to notice behaviors and personalities unique to each individual animal. I made a vow to myself that I would do my very best to capture those personalities in each of my paintings and to never hide behind the preconceived notions that humans have of wild animals.
All of my paintings are watercolor & Gouache on watercolor board. I hope that my paintings help you to see into the animal world that I have come to know and deeply love. |
