Festivals and Local Happenings
Music bursts forth at the Cascade Head Music Festival, which occurs on three weekends in June. Here you can introduce yourself to or reacquaint yourself with some of the finest classical music and musicians in the world.
Also in June, the art galleries of Lincoln City celebrate their finest exhibits with a Glass Weekend Gallery Hop. This weekend event features artists’ receptions, art demonstrations, refreshments, and drawings for gift certificates. To round out spring and send you smiling into summer, the last weekend in June brings the first of three annual Kite Festivals, the summer festival at the D-River Wayside.

Oregon’s only oceanfront casino, Chinook Winds Casino Resort, is located in north Lincoln City and is an enterprise of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians of Oregon. The casino features the largest convention center on the Oregon Coast. The 22,000 square foot full-service conference facility consists of six large breakout rooms and 3 smaller rooms. Not only does Chinook Winds make the center available for large conventions and trade shows, but it generously donates to area nonprofit organizations. In addition, a 2,000 person theater offers live, Las Vegas-style headline entertainment, including such stars as Ray Charles, Roberta Flack, Merle Haggard, The Temptations, Three Dog Night, and Loretta Lynn.

Voted as the best kite flying location in North America by Kitelines Magazine, Lincoln City is known as the Kite Capital of the World.
